Engine Does Not Start

it has been hard to get my truck to start. I have to turn the key very hard. After taking my old chevrolet through the mud the other day my truck will not start. When I turn the key nothing happens. My battery has voltage. My radio and headlights work fine but the solenoid and starter does not make any noises. Im thinking the problem is in the ignition switch. What is your opinion?

So I want a new toy.
My neighbor has a 79 F100 that i absolutly love. I can get it for pretty cheap and its already got some stuff done to it. System, rims, new 302 and trany with shift kit and other odds and ends.

The plan is to get something I can lower and eventually bag and drag the hell out of. Not wanting nothing fancy, just something that I can work on over time and say I built.
